AIR JORDAN 7 "CIGAR AND CHAMPAGNE" PACK
In the course of fawning over the cavalcade of special releases trotted out for Jordan Brand's big 30th anniversary, it can get somewhat lost in the shuffle that it is also the 23rd anniversary of the Air Jordan 7. On Saturday, we get a big fat reminder of that fact in the form of the Air Jordan 7 "Cigar & Champagne" pack. This year's edition pays tribute to Michael and the Bulls' victory over the Portland Trailblazers in the 1992 Finals, which gave them back-to-back titles and featured a Game 1 performance from MJ in which he hit 6 first half three pointers and gave us this now iconic image:
Each shoe in the pack exhibits championship caliber craftsmanship. The "Cigar" features a burgundy leather upper with metallic gold hits on the white tongue and ankle patches. An incredibly soft leather lining leads down to a quilted insole while a white and burgundy midsole is finished off in a gum outsole. The "Champagne" sees a heavy dose of metallic gold on the tongue and ankle patch of its white and black premium leather upper. The all white outsole contrasts with the insole, which has an exploding champagne graphic surrounded by a black sock. The cherry on top of both pairs is the faux-championship ring lace locks.
