Color: White / Legend Blue / Midnight Navy
Happy New Year! It's 2015 and Jordan Brand is kicking off a new era for the Air Jordan Retro, an era defined by premium materials and a commitment to making the Retro as close as possible to the OG in look and feel as well as response and performance; the Remastered Era. From now on, all Air Jordan Retros will be crafted using a completely revamped construction process with an elaborate and intimate approach to the way these shoes are manufactured. Using original pairs to get each detail true to form, Jordan Brand is setting out to recreate Tinker Hatfield and Michael Jordan’s original vision for what these shoes should be. First up in this new Remastered Series is, surprisingly, not an OG colorway, but one of the most beloved retro releases of all time: the Air Jordan 4 Retro "Columbia".
Since debuting in 1999, the "Columbia" 4 has maintained an exalted status in the pantheon of Retro releases, in part because they didn't release it again until now. Like all shoes in the Remastered Series, these will hue as close to their original incarnation as possible. That means an upper constructed of premium white tumbled leather with perforated leather quarter panels in place of the standard plastic coated mesh, one of only two Air Jordan 4's with that feature. Midnight Navy graces the mudgaurd, hardware, and lining, while the Jumpman on the tongue and heels soars in Legend Blue. If you have been waiting 15 years for this shoe, rejoice, because it is back and better than ever. Welcome to the world of the Remaster.
