Following in the footsteps of his former Kansas teammate, Andrew Wiggins, Joel Embiid, the Sixers' top pick in this year's draft, has inked a deal with Adidas. Adidas also announced that it signed Marcus Smart, the sixth overall pick this year. Add those signing to Wiggins and Dante Exum, the first and fourth overall pick respectively, and Adidas has locked down four of the top six picks. In a U.S. basketball market that is currently dominated by Nike and its offshoot, Jordan Brand, grabbing young talent is essential for Adidas to begin making a dent. Hopefully for the German company, these players will blossom into the next crop of NBA stars.
